The data on accessibility is based on the existing stops (Swiss public transport service centres). Maintenance is carried out by the transport companies in the application atlas. The reference between stops and stop places is established using Swiss Location ID (SLOID).
Data collection and provision is object-related:
Dataset | Description | actual_ date |
future_ timetable |

Basic Information | General information at stop level. | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Stop Place | Information on the accessibility of a stop place. | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Reference Point | Defines a location at the stop (e.g. a main entrance). | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Contact Point | Information on the accessibility of ticket or information counters (if available). | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Toilet | Information on the accessibility of toilets (if available). | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Parking Lot | Information on the accessibility of car parks (if available). | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Relation | Enables the accessibility of the route between reference points and the other objects to be rated. | dataset | dataset | dataset |
Figure: Datasets on accessibility.
The number of objects to be recorded and the attributes to be recorded differ, depending on the means of transport that use a stop. For example, no reference points, counters, toilets, car parks and connections need to be recorded for bus stops, whereas this is mandatory for railway stations. Further information on the subject of accessibility can be found here (German/French/Italian only).
The data recorded in atlas is made available to all interested parties in the sense of open data as follows:
As a file
-
- A separate file is published for each object. The names correspond to the values highlighted in grey in the illustration.
- All data is available in fully versioned form, i.e. it is important that you obtain the correct data set for your own requirements:
- actual_date: Current status. There is one entry per object.
- future_timetable: Status on the first day of the upcoming timetable (timetable change). There is one entry per object.
- full: All versions of an object.
- A detailed description of the data provided can be found here: (German/French/Italian only): pt-info.ch > Document > Annexe au guide sur l’accessibilité.
