Accessibility

Mobility for all – multimodal mobility should be possible to be used regardless of restrictions, services and infrastructures.

We offer various datasets to shed light on the accessibility of various aspects, especially of public transport. Depending on the means of transport that uses the stop, the number of objects and the attributes that are to be recorded varies. For example, reference points, counters, toilets, parking spaces and connections do not have to be recorded for bus stops, while it is mandatory for railway stations.

We provide data sets that show the entire travel chain – from planning to changes. Our data is based on the Swiss Location ID (SLOID) and enable precise object-related evaluation.

Data and interfaces

Data from the master data system atlas (data can also be obtained via API at this URL: https://developer.sbb.ch/apis/atlas/information.)

The data are primarily collected in atlas (see Instructions) The datasets are offered in three ‘versions’:

  1. ‘actual-date’: Current status of the data.
  2. ‘full’: All versions of the data.
  3. ‘timetable-years’: Data status on the first day of the next timetable (timetable change).

Functional Description

We provide various technical information on accessibility. Specifically, the accessibility of the infrastructure at and around stops, i.e. Ticket counters and information counters, the Toilets, and Parking spaces. The accessibility of Stops/stops and Stop boarding areas (See also timetable data). Information on the Reference points which are needed to represent the accessibility of routes between objects (e.g. boarding areas, toilets), and Connections, i.e. between the reference points and objects (e.g. counters, toilets). And a data set on the Wheelchair accessibility per stop and boarding area, based on timetable data and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) inventory. This data set also includes accessibility for a small number of vehicles, including an explanation of how they were rated.

The stops and stops are referred to using the Swiss Location ID (SLOID). Data collection and provision takes place on a property-specific basis. The accessibility data is based on the existing stops (Swiss public transport services) .
