Limits and costs

In principle, you can obtain file and service related data free of charge. In order to make the operating costs associated with the open data platform mobility Switzerland scalable, an upper limit has been set on requests for purely service-related data.

The following limits therefore apply at present:

OJP 1.0, OJP 2.0, OJPFare, Train Formation Service, CKAN

  • Limit A: 50 requests per minute and API-key
  • Limit B: 20‘000 requests per day and API-key

GTFS RT, GTFS RT Service Alerts

  • 5 requests per minute and API-key

SIRI-SX (from 30/06/2026)

  • SIRI-SX Planned:
    • Limit A: 10 requests per hour and API-key
    • Limit B: 48 requests per day and API-key
  • SIRI-SX Unplanned:
    • Limit A: 2 requests per minute and API-key
    • Limit B: 3’000 requests per day and API-key

SIRI-ET

  • Limit A: 2 requests per minute and API-key
  • Limit B: 3’000 requests per day and API-key

SIRI-PT

  • Limit A: 10 requests per hour and API-key
  • Limit B: 24 requests per day and API-key

FEDRO TDP: Traffic counters, Traffic lights, Traffic information

  • 50 requests per minute and API-key
  • 6 Monate, see special terms of use

These limits can be exceeded, but then costs will be incurred*. In this case please contact us via contact form.

The “Quality of Service (QoS)” document contains all the relevant technical and organisational details for using the “Open Journey Planner” service.
