Swiss Journey ID (SJYID) – List

Brief Description

#AutoTranslate

This list relates the functional and technical identifiers of a train planned by SBB’s planning tool for standard gauge railways (NeTS).

As of 5 December 2025, version V2 of the file is now available as a syntactically correct CSV file.

Functional Description

The technical Identifiers are:

  • Train number (VM-Nummer)
  • Transport company code (TU-Code)
  • Variant number (list of days on which the train operates)

Technical Description

The technical The identifier is the SwissJourneyID (SJYID).

It is essential to take into account the validity of the service in order to link these two identifiers.

The list shall contain the following information:

Attribute Meaning
VM-Nummer Train number
Transport company code The code of the transport company responsible for this train.
Variante Variant number (corresponds to a list of days on which the train operates).
SJYID SwissJourneyID
Abfahrt-BP-Nummer UIC code of the departure station
Abfahrtsort Name of departure station
Abfahrtszeit Departure time. The departure time is based on the day of operation at the train’s departure station.
Ankunft-BP-Nummer UIC code of the arrival station
Ankunftsort Name of arrival station
Ankunftszeit Arrival time. The arrival time refers to the day of operation of the train’s departure station.
List of operating data A column is defined for each date, from the day on which the list is created to the end of the timetable period.

The column contains the following values:
  • 1: runs on this date
  • 0: does not run on this date

Further information

The list contains all scheduled trains that will run on at least one day, starting with the day on which the list is compiled and ending with the end of the timetable period. Accordingly, SwissJourneyIDs no longer listed from the time of export, from which there are no travel days in the corresponding timetable period, even if they are present in the target data in the corresponding timetable period.

The list will be updated when a new timetable file is provided (see HAFAS Rohdaten Format (HRDF)).

It is recommended to use systematically newly created files, as the relationship between the business identifier and the technical identifier may change.
