First data sets for long-distance bus timetables are available. These are
- BlaBlaCar bus (generated from Blablacar Bus – Theoretical schedules and real time of the European network – Data Europa EU)
- Flixbus (generated from an API from Flixbus for the whole of Europe)
Business description
The data is provided as NeTEx. It is not an optimal solution at the moment, further work is necessary:
- Connect bus stops with public transport stops (METABHF)
- Use more official stops for the carter terminals
- Checking the consistency of the data
The data sets are used, among other things, to test the two NeTEx profiles.
Currently, the data is not integrated in the Swiss public transport collection.
It is planned to update the data at least quarterly.
Integration into the OJP is planned as soon as the car terminals are “connected” to the public transport stops.
Technical aspects
The data shall be provided in accordance with the European minimum profile (EPIP, Part 4 European Passenger Information Profile – EPIP (CEN/TS 16614-4:2017) or VDV-462.
Known Issues
- The mode must be set to “coach” and the submode to “internationalCoach”.
- The stop codes need to be improved.
- The connection to the public transport stops must be made.
