On behalf of the Federal Office of Transport (FOT), the team “Systemaufgaben Kundeninformation (SKI+)” carried out a market analysis of open source mobility routers. The aim of the analysis was to assess the suitability of current open source solutions as a basis for a national multimodal router in Switzerland.
In this Meet-Up, we will present the results of the market analysis. We will compare the two open source products MOTIS and OpenTripPlanner (OTP) with the proprietary MENTZ/EFA solution currently in use. In doing so, we will shed light on technical capabilities, community maturity and performance.
